YOGYAKARTA, 8 December 2025 – When Cornerstone Community Church (CSCC) Singapore’s Courier Mission Team touched down in Yogyakarta this Christmas season, they didn’t just bring gifts – they brought a wave of love that rippled through orphanages, churches, and even the walls of Wirogunan Correctional Facility. Their 2025 mission journey was more than a visit; it was a powerful demonstration of faith in action, living out the theme that would define this year’s celebrations: “Sharing Love, Proclaiming Peace.”
From day one, the team served with unwavering dedication, starting with the children of Rumah Buah Hati Orphanage – where their laughter and care lit up the halls – before moving on to inspire the youth of Livingstone Community Church. But their reach didn’t stop there: they shared testimonies and joined in Christmas events at Assemblies of God Church, led celebrations with Central Kristen Indonesia (CKI), and brought spiritual encouragement to Christian inmates at Wirogunan Prison. Each moment reflected the heart of Christ, proving that love knows no boundaries – whether in a place of worship, a home for children, or behind prison walls.
The mission was perfectly aligned with the Christmas theme declared by Livingstone Community Church’s Senior Pastor, Pst. Soleman Samuel, S.Th., M.A. – a phrase that was never just a slogan, but a promise kept in every handshake, every prayer, and every act of service. “This team didn’t just talk about love and peace – they showed it,” said Pst. Samuel, speaking on behalf of all the communities touched by the mission.
Alongside Pst. Telly Panjaitan, S.Th., M.A., Pst. Samuel expressed heartfelt gratitude to CSCC Singapore, particularly Pst. Yang and Pst. Daphne Yang, for sending the team to Yogyakarta. Special appreciation was also extended to every member of the Courier Mission Team: Melanie Chew; Anya and Darius (mother and son); Khee Khee and Ming Yu (mother and son); William, Linda, Tristan, and Kelsey Knorr (family); Shervin Chua; Janice Chua; Kate; and Chris.
In a beautiful twist of purpose, the team resided at Villa Opa Doel for three nights – where every dollar from their stay directly supported Rumah Buah Hati Orphanage’s operational needs, creating a cycle of blessing that continued long after they left.
“May the Lord Jesus Christ abundantly bless every act of love, sacrifice, and service,” Pst. Samuel concluded. “And may He continue to use Cornerstone Community Church and the Courier Mission Team as instruments of His grace and peace to nations far and wide.”
